November 2004
Thanks to everyone who came out to the match today and thanks especially to those who designed stages, showed up early to help set up,
worked a clipboard/timer/tape roll during the match, and/or stayed late to help tear down. IPSC shooting exists as an all volunteer sport and it
can not continue without shooters chipping in. If you come to the matches and aren't helping out in at least a couple of these areas then
you're forcing someone else to do their share and yours as well. We can't all be great stage designers and some backs can't carry the
poppers like they used to but there's always something you can do to help out. Put yourself in charge of getting the stage buckets ready for
every match or appoint yourself head of the brass patrol. If you're new and aren't sure what you can do to help out, ask the match director.
He's got plenty to go around for everyone.
On happier notes, congratulations to Bill on turning fifty or so and we were all thrilled to see Gerald Sr. back. Hopefully it won't be too
long before Gerald II can join us.
Results:
Results of local matches are now posted to USPSA's website and we will
link to them from ours. This should allow for even faster results posting than ever before. If you have any questions or
problems, please let me know so we can better evaluate this method. Thanks, John.
